If you are not receiving your verification code via text message, there could be several reasons for this. Below are the most common causes and what you can do to resolve the issue.
Possible Reasons for Not Receiving the SMS
1. Blocking at the Device Level
Smartphones allow users to block specific phone numbers from sending SMS messages.
If our number is on your blocklist, your phone will receive the SMS but will automatically discard it without notifying you.
Check your blocked numbers list in your Android or iOS settings and remove our numbers if they are listed.
2. Blocking at the Carrier Level
Some mobile carriers allow users to block messages from certain numbers by sending a STOP message to a shortcode.
If you have previously blocked our SMS number (e.g., 8850 or 8810), you will not receive any verification codes from us.
Contact your carrier to check if these numbers are blocked and request unblocking if necessary.
3. Delivery Failure
In some cases, the SMS may fail to send due to technical issues. However, we have automatic retry mechanisms in place to ensure the message is resent.
How to Fix the Issue
Check Your Blocked Numbers
On iOS: Go to Settings > General> Messages > Blocked Contacts and see if our number is blocked.
On Android: Go to Phone App > Settings > Blocked Numbers and check for our number.
Verify with Your Carrier
Contact your mobile provider and ask if they have blocked SMS from shortcodes 8850 or 8810.
Request to unblock these numbers if necessary.
Retry Receiving the Code
If your number is unblocked, try requesting a new verification code.
